Principle Of Cooperation Is BN Formula To Win Kepong In GE14
KUALA LUMPUR, June 1 (Bernama) -- UMNO secretary-general Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor is confident the Kepong parliamentary constituency can be won back by the Barisan Nasional (BN) if the BN component parties in the constituency unite and work together.
Tengku Adnan said he believed that the Kepong parliamentary constituency can be won by the BN in the 14th General Election (GE14) through the principle of cooperation such as sharing information and cultivating a close relationship which is necessary, thereby attracting Kepong residents to favour the ruling party.
"If we are together, working hard, I believe we can win the hearts of friends, what is important is that today's government is a caring government in every aspect, although Kepong is not under BN, but we will still help.
"We are always concerned about the needs of the people, no matter what people say," he said at a Ramadan event in Kepong here today.
Tengku Adnan, who is also the Federal Territories Minister, said the BN machinery in Kepong has to delve into the problems faced by the people in the area and take immediate action to solve them.
Earlier, he presented financial contribution and basic essentials to 500 recipients in Kepong under the Nur Ramadan programme involving the needy, orphans, the elderly, single mothers, people with disabilities and those who are less fortunate in the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and Labuan.
