Kalabakan UMNO Has No Fear In Facing Opposition In GE14 - Ghafur
TAWAU, June 5 (Bernama) -- Kalabakan UMNO division has no fear in facing any opposition party in the coming 14th general election (GE14) as it is confident of solid support from voters in the constituency for Barisan Nasional (BN).
Division chief, Datuk Seri Abdul Ghapur Salleh said the confidence prevailed alongside Kalabakan UMNO's consistent work through various programmes for the constituents, and not seasonal or sporadic.
"Our Wanita, Youth and Puteri leaders are actively going to the ground, not just to get close to the grassroots but to also listen to their grouses and problems."
Abdul Ghafur who is also the member of parliament for Kalabakan, said this at the UMNO division's 'Breaking-of-Fast Tour' event at As-Solehin Mosque in Kampung Haji Matahir, here, today.
He said each time they heard of problems faced by the people, these problems would be studied and acted upon accordingly or be brought to the attention of the higher-ups for solutions.
Also present at the event was Sebatik assemblyman Datuk Abdul Muis Picho, who is also Kalabakan UMNO division deputy chief.
