Parti Harapan Malaysia Urges ROS To Speed Up Registration
PUTRAJAYA, June 8 (Bernama) -- Parti Harapan Malaysia (PHM) today sent a letter to the Registrar of Society (ROS) Malaysia director-general Datuk Mohammad Razin Abdullah urging him to speed up its registration.
PHM protem committee deputy president, Johari Musa, when met by reporters, after delivering the letter to ROS here said the application to register PHM was sent on Dec 10, 2015 and on March 6, last year, he paid the registration fee under the name of Parti Harapan Malaysia.
"Since March 6, we did not receive any news from ROS and the last check several months ago found the party status was waiting for approval," he said.
He said PHM wanted to take part in the coming general election by moving legitimately under the law.
He said more than 40,000 individuals nationwide aspired to join the party.
Johari also reminded the opposition pact using the name Pakatan Harapan that PHM had sent an application to register the name 'Parti Harapan Malaysia' since 2015 when the opposition pact was known as Pakatan Rakyat.
