Najib Visits Datuk Ishak Ismail's Family





SEREMBAN, July 19 (Bernama) -- Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak today visited the family of Lenggeng Assemblyman Datuk Ishak Ismail, who died last night of a heart attack.

Najib, accompanied by Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan, arrived at Ishak's sister's residence in Taman Rashidah Utama here about 10.25 pm and was there for about 30 minutes.

Also seen at the residence to pay their last respect to Ishak were Indah Water Konsortium chairman Tan Sri Abu Zahar Ujang, Perbadanan Usahawan Nasional Berhad (PUNB) chairman Tan Sri Mohd Ali Rustam and the Negeri Sembilan state executive council members.

Ishak, who was Lenggeng Assemblyman for four terms, died at 11.25 pm yesterday at Tuanku Najihah Hospital, Kuala Pilah.

He was said to be at an Aidilfitri open house hosted by Seri Menanti Assemblyman Datuk Abdul Samad Ibrahim in Seri Menanti when he fainted and was rushed to the hospital for treatment.

Ishak was born on July 17, 1951 in Kampong Pantai, Seremban. He leaves wife, Datin Norimah Ujang, and four children.

His remains would be buried at the Genting Muslim Cemetery, Pantai here, after the funeral prayer at Masjid Kariah Paroi Jaya.
