UMNO Will Continue Transparent, Sincere Work - Abdul Azeez
YAN, July 22 (Bernama) -- UMNO will continue the party's transparent and sincere work, and leave it to the people to evaluate which party and government will defend their destiny, come the 14th General Election (GE14).
Its Supreme Council member, Datuk Seri Abdul Azeez Abdul Rahim said the party leadership and members would not entertain any accusation that the party would commit fraud to win the GE14.
"We, in UMNO, will continue to be transparent and sincere in our efforts and we believe that people in rural and urban areas are clever enough to evaluate which government and party is capable of defending them," he told a press conference after officiating the Jerai Wanita UMNO delegates conference at the Guar Chempedak Multipurpose Hall here today.
Also present were Jerai UMNO division chief, Datuk Seri Jamil Khir Baharom, who is also minister in the Prime Minister's Department.
Abdul Azeez was commenting on a statement in a portal by former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad that Pakatan Harapan was confident of winning the GE14 and that the leadership would commit fraud to retain power.
