Strengthen Unity In BN Component Parties - Mohamad
REMBAU, July 30 (Bernama) --Unity of each BN component party must continue to be strengthened to convince voters, said Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar and Barisan Nasional (BN) chairman Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan.
He said without the unity shown by each BN component party, people will begin to have doubts. BN is the only party capable of fostering unity among all the races in the country, despite trying to be torn apart by the opposition which only seeks to win the election, he said in his opening speech at the Rembau Division MIC delegates conference here tonight.
Meanwhile, MIC national information chief and MIC Rembau Division chairman Datuk V.S. Mogan in his speech said the MIC centre in the last two months had registered 25,000 new voters.
In the meantime, in BANGI, Education Minister and UMNO Supreme Council Member, Datuk Seri Mahdzir Khalid, called upon UMNO members to be united to avoid divisiveness and practice a positive culture that would strengthen the party to face the 14th General Election.
The young and old UMNO members need to be assimilated to increase support for the party and a positive culture of checking the validity. Any information received must first be prioritised," he said when opening the Serdang Umno Division delegates conference here today.
"At that time, former prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohammad reminded me, one day when you become a leader, do not conspire with Lim Kit Siang who is a racist and against Islam.
Mahdzir said he remembered and held on to Tun Dr Mahathir\'s words to this day, but now Dr Mahathir is close to Lim Kit Siang instead.
