GE14: MCA To Conduct Public Survey Before Finalising Candidates
KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 1 (Bernama) -- MCA is in the final stage of selecting its candidates for the 14th general election (GE14), said its President Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai.
The party would also conduct a public survey before the final list of candidates was decided to ensure that the candidates selected were the people's choice, he told reporters after opening the 'Blossom Arts Festival' at Wisma MCA today.
Liow, who is also Transport Minister, reminded all party machinery to enlighten the public about the national transformation agenda by the government and the people should also realise that the opposition especially Pakatan Harapan had no future, in contrast to Barisan Nasional (BN).
Meanwhile, commenting on the art festival, Liow said about 30,000 visitors were expected to enliven the festival which would last for a month beginning today.
The festival, themed 'Negaraku' in line with the 60th National Day celebration, was attended by 100 arts and cultural organisations from within the country and seven from abroad.
Countries participating in the festival organised for the second time by MCA are China, Japan, India, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Indonesia.
