PBB Triennial General Meeting Set For Early 2018 - Abang Johari

KUCHING, Aug 26 (Bernama) -- Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) will hold its triennial general meeting (TGM) early next year, says its president, Datuk Amar Abang Johari Tun Openg.

Abang Johari, who is also Sarawak Chief Minister, said the decision was deliberated during over a two-hour meeting by the party's Supreme Council here today.

However, he did not divulge the details on the date and venue of the TGM, saying that the matter would be determined later.

"PBB will have its own TGM early next year. We have formed a committee which is chaired by our acting deputy presidents, Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas and Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan, to monitor the preparation of the TGM.

"The committee will also decide on the meetings at divisional and branch levels which might be held in October or November. One thing for sure, the meetings (division and branch) will be held by end of this year," he told a press conference at the PBB headquarters here today.
