Show Semporna UMNO Solidarity To Opposition - Nasir
SEMPORNA, Sept 7 (Bernama) -- Acting Semporna UMNO division chief Datuk Seri Nasir Tun Sakaran wants the party members to show high level of solidarity as it could cause fear to the opposition in view of the upcoming 14th general election (GE14).
He said with the solidarity, Semporna UMNO teamwork to reach out to the people could be intensified.
"If our teamwork is weak and UMNO failed to show its strength, then it will be easy for our opponents to gain control of our areas," he told reporters here today.
Nasir, who is also Senallang MP, said this to reporters after the presentation of the advance aid to 130 students who had been offered a place at public and private universities for this year's intake.
He also said that Semporna UMNO was in a state of full preparedness to face the GE14 following the announcement of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak that the general election could be called at any time from now.
