Distribution Of Seats Based On Winnability Factor - Mohamed Azmin

SHAH ALAM, Sept 16 (Bernama) -- Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) will consider giving away its seats to Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) and Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM) based on winnability factor, says its deputy president, Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali.

He said when PKR first contested in the general election in 1999, the party had no seats and DAP and PAS were kind enough to give away some of their seats for us to contest.

"My principle is clear, the 2014 general election (GE14) is the time for PKR to consider giving some seats to our new partners, which are Amanah and Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia," he told reporters after speaking at the New Malaysia Dialogue forum organised by the opposition pact and several non-governmental organisations here today.

Mohamed Azmin, who is also Selangor Menteri Besar, said winnability factor was an important aspect to be considered in the distribution of seats in Selangor.

"Other than seats allocation, we also have to consider the important winnability factor of a party candidate. If the person is capable to garner support at a particular place, certainly we will let the person to contest on Pakatan's ticket.

"After all, we want to win as Pakatan, not individually," he said.
