Larger Laman Media At UMNO General Assembly 2017
KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 3 (Bernama) -- Media practitioners covering the UMNO General Assembly 2017 in December will have a more comfortable and spacious working area to provide the best coverage.
"I plan to relocate Laman Media to Dewan Tun Abdul Razak 4 as it is more spacious than Bilik Mawar and the other rooms to provide more convenience from the technical and broadcasting angle," said UMNO secretary-general Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh when chairing the UGA 2017 media coordination meeting, here today.
Laman Media would see improvements in the form of a casual work area, media conference room, muslim prayer room (surau) and a more conducive dining area.
Ab Rauf reminded media organisations to submit their representatives accreditation applications before the deadline on Oct 31.
The security level at PWTC would be enhanced with the use of Radio Frequency Identification System (RFID) to detect the authenticity of passes of delegates, observers and media practitioners.
The move was aimed at detecting fake identification passes with the barcode system.
The president's briefing is on Dec 5, the wings assemblies on Dec 6 and the UGA from Dec 7-9.
