Don't Fall For Opposition Empty Promises - Ahmad Bashah
SUNGAI PETANI, Oct 13 (Bernama) -- The Indian community in Kedah are reminded not to fall easily for empty promises made by the opposition to gain votes in the upcoming 14th general election (GE14).
State Barisan Nasional (BN) Chairman Datuk Seri Ahmad Bashah Md Hanipah said the opposition was only good at making promises, but it was BN which had been helping the community to improve their living conditions and wellbeing.
The opposition can only talk and make empty promises which clearly cannot be fulfilled, where are the elected representatives of Lunas, Bukit Selambau and Sungai Petani? Only BN has been around to help the Indian community there.
"The general election will be called once in every five years. We need a strong government to ensure our wellbeing, that is why I want us to unite and ensure victory for the BN in the coming GE14,"he said at the presentation of Deepavali donations organised by Kedah Makkal Sakti Party here tonight.
During the ceremony, Ahmad Bashah presented hampers containing daily necessities to 400 families and also Deepavali 'angpau' for children and the elderlies.
