UMNO To Intensify Information Sessions Face-To-Face, Through Social Media - Annuar
KOTA BHARU, Oct 14 (Bernama) -- UMNO will continue to intensify its information programmes through face-to-face sessions and the social media in efforts to get messages across to a wider audience, said its Information chief Tan Sri Annuar Musa.
He said the 'Perjuangan 4All' dialogue session being carried out nationwide, with its 12 session tonight, was well-received by the people.
"Since we launched the programme, there are people who follow it consistently, and on Facebook, we have not less than 10,000 followers for each programme, and at certain time, it reached more than 30,000," he told reporters at the programme for the Ketereh parliamentary level here tonight.
Besides Annuar, other panel members in the programme were Kelantan UMNO Liaison committee chairman Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed and Kok Lanas assemblyman Datuk Md Alwi Che Ahmad, with Datuk Dahlan Maamor as the moderator.
Annuar said the approach used in the programme proved successful in getting messages across to the people.
"It shows an approach which is more open because we also receive questions from the public, including representatives from DAP, Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia," he said.
Annuar said he had received many requests, not only from UMNO divisions, but also government agencies and non-governmental organisations to hold the programme.
Meanwhile, Mustapa said UMNO was determined to wrest back Kelantan from the opposition in this coming general election.
