Opposition's Alternative Budget Populist, Unrealistic - Idris

JASIN, Oct 26 (Bernama) -- Melaka Chief Minister Datuk Seri Idris Haron viewed the Alternative 2018 Budget tabled by Pakatan Harapan yesterday as being populist and unrealistic.

He said the Alternative Budget which relied on adopted popular demands of the people did not consider the nation's current economic scenario.

"The opposition has yet to show efforts to bring prosperity to the state and country. They are merely observing the government's actions and making it more extensive or calling for its repeal.

"(However), I am confident that the people will not be deceived by the opposition's 'Pak Pandir' budget. If this is the government chosen (by the people), it will destroy what we have built all this while," he told reporters after launching the ?Anugerah Teknologi Pendidikan Negeri Melaka 2017' which was organised by the Melaka Education Technology Division.

Also present were Melaka Education, Higher education, Science and Technology, Green Technology and Innovation Committee deputy chairman Datuk Md Rawi Mahmud and state education director Abu Bakar Sahari.
