UMNO IT Machinery Confident Of Winning Cyber War
SUNGAI PETANI, Oct 28 (Bernama) -- The UMNO information technology (IT) machinery has full confidence of winning the cyber war especially in the run-up to the 14th general election (PRU-14) Malaysia UMNO Information Technology (IT) Bureau chairman-cum-Deputy International Trade and Industry Minister, Datuk Ahmad Maslan said UMNO lost in the social media in the PRU in 2008 and 2013.
"We don´t want to lose too in PRU-14 in the social media war..this is important because we are the (party) which brings good, stating truths, doing work and not merely know how to crow.
"As such, the UMNO social media machinery must win in the cyber war at the coming PRU, we work very hard to ensure the cyber war for the coming PRU is won by UMNO and Barisan Nasional (BN), and I am confident we can win," he said after officiating the closing of Kedah and Perlis Level Cyber Technical Workshop (BTM) , here today.
Meanwhile, he also reminded all UMNO IT machinery against spreading and viralling slanders but the truth which greatly benefited society and country.
In the meantime, he said an estimated 2,000 members of the UMNO IT machinery from every division would gather at the National Level UMNO Social Media Convention at the Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) on Nov 4, to listen and advise on preparation for facing PRU-14.
"This is another of our efforts for one-year-eight months, when I became the IT Bureau chairman, to strengthen the UMNO IT machinery line-up. The programme would also be attended by the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister," he said.
