TN50 Dialogue Reaches Out To Over 1.5 Million Youths - Khairy
KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 13 (Bernama) -- The government has reached out to more than 1.5 million youths nationwide through the National Transformation 2050 (TN50) Dialogue session since it was introduced in January, said Youth and Sports Minister Khairy Jamaluddin.
He said approximately 60,000 aspirations of the young people from various fields were gathered via all sorts of channels including through online and face-to-face interactions.
"We have reached out to 1.5 million people under the youth segment in which we have mobilised the machinery under the Youth and Sports Ministry, as well as from other ministries such as the Rural and Regional Development Ministry," he said at the Prasarana Malaysia Berhad (Prasarana) Corporate Collaboration and TN50 programmes here today.
Also present was Prasarana group chief executive officer Datuk Seri Azmi Abdul Aziz.
Khairy also said the TN50 youth aspiration report would be tabled in January while the government's official planning document, namely the TN50 Policy, would be announced by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak on Sept 16, 2018, in conjunction with Malaysia Day celebration.
Meanwhile, Azmi said Prasarana had appointed 10 TN50-Prasarana Youth Ambassadors who were selected under the Strategic Prasarana Executive Enhancement and Development Scheme programme.
