Harapan Ready If PPBM's Registration Is Cancelled For GE14
KUANTAN, Nov 18 (Bernama) -- Pakatan Harapan is prepared with the possibility the registration of Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM) maybe cancelled at the last minute in the coming 14th general election.
Its president, Datuk Seri Dr Wan Aizah Wan Ismail said the matter was nothing new to the opposition as DAP had to go through an almost similar situation at the 13th General Election in 2013.
"No problem...If the Registrar of Societies (RoS) takes a sudden action, Pakatan Harapan will fight the issue together. Earlier they (RoS) created problems for DAP.
"Actually Pakatan Harapan leadership is much smarter than BN but we cannot reveal our strategy. In fact we have been having meetings and are together on this problem," she told reporters after attending a gathering with the people here today.
Also present were Kuantan MP Fuziah Salleh, Semambu assemblyman Lee Chean Chung and Teruntum assemblyman Sim Chon Siang.
PPBM is facing the possibility of being declared illegal for three violations on the party's constitution.
The party was found not holding its annual general meeting, setting up its youth wing, ARMADA and postponing its annual meeting without complying to the party's constitution.
