DAP Rep's Behaviour Not A Good Example For Youths - BNBBC

IPOH, Nov 23 (Bernama) -- Perak DAP chairman Nga Kor Ming's act of hurling abusive remarks against Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir in his speech at Kampung Simee, here, last week, has set a negative example for the country's youth, according to Perak Barisan Nasional Back Benchers Club (BNBBC) chairman Datuk Mohd Khusairi Abdul Talib.

He said a 'senior' politician like Nga should set a good example, instead of making abusive comments as a culture in politics.

"What if the younger generation wished to venture into politics and saw such attitude, they would be discouraged," he told reporters on the sidelines of the Third Meeting of the Fifth Session of the 13th State Assembly here, today.

Meanwhile, Mohd Khusairi, who is also Slim River assemblyman, called on the police to take firm action against Nga for making a false report and denying his actions, even though it had been clearly recorded.

"Nga's claim that the video had been edited also seems irrelevant, since the 30-minute video clearly shows that he hurled abusive words," he said.

On Tuesday (Nov 21), Nga, who is Taiping MP, lodged a police report at the Ipoh District Police Headquarters here requesting the authorities to investigate the truth into allegations that he had hurled racial slurs against Zambry.

The Kepayang assemblyman also claimed that the video recording had been edited and modified to give rise to racial tension.
