DAP Leader Asks Ros To Probe Party Re-Election
PUTRAJAYA, Nov 28 (Bernama) -- A DAP leader today asked the Registrar of Societies to investigate the re-election of the DAP Central Executive Committee on Nov 12, alleging that it may not have adhered to regulations.
Santokh Singh, deputy chairman of the DAP Asam Kumbang Branch, claimed that the list of CEC candidates had not been updated and contained the names of people who had died and had left the party.
He said the late DAP chairman, Karpal Singh, garnered 43 votes in the re-election while three people who had left the party also received votes, they being John Fernandez (eight votes), Zulkifli Mohd. Noor (43) and Roseli Abdul Ghani (eight).
It was strange that the appointed accounting firm failed to comply with the regulations, so much so that it caused much dissatisfaction to many, he said to reporters after handing over an official complaint to Rahida Mohamed, a representative of RoS, here.
