Special UMNO Youth Award For Former UMNO Youth Assistant Treasurer
KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 6 (Bernama) -- Former assistant treasurer of the UMNO Youth movement Datuk Seri Abd Hamid Nazahar received the 2017 UMNO Youth Special Award in recognition of his deeds and contribution to the UMNO wing.
The UMNO Youth Special Award, which was to appreciate UMNO Youth members who had provided deeds to the movement, was handed over by UMNO Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin before he delivered his policy speech at the annual assembly of the movement today.
Abd Hamid, who originates from Pahang, began to be involved in UMNO since the 1980s.
Abd Hamid, 52, who began from the branch level, had previously been elected as the UMNO Youth vice-head of the Kuantan division from 1998 to 2004.
When Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein, held the post of UMNO Youth head from 1998 to 2008, Abd Hamid was appointed as the UMNO Youth Assistant Treasurer.
