Ahmad Said Praises 2018 Terengganu Budget, Congratulates MB

KUALA TERENGGANU, Dec 13 (Bernama) -- Kijal assemblyman Datuk Seri Ahmad Said today praised the contents of the 2018 Terengganu Budget tabled by Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Razif Abd Rahman.

The former Terengganu Menteri Besar, who were present since the first day of the sitting, was also confident that the budget of RM1.99 billion could meet the needs of the people.

"Congratulation and well done to the Menteri Besar for his speech on the 2018 Budget, which is very comprehensive with the 60 touch points. I believe this budget is our preparations to face the 14th General Election (GE14)."

"Hopefully God will bless the Barisan Nasional," he said during the debate on the 2018 Terengganu Budget at the state legislative assembly sitting here today.

Ahmad Razif had presented the budget themed 'Build a sustainable future' to ease the people's burden besides improving the people's well-being and the country's progress despite the state facing a decline in natural resources through the petroleum industry.

Ahmad Said also took the opportunity to point out that his presence this time could possibly be his last as Kijal assemblyman and hoped that Kijal would continue to be a 'fixed desposit' for BN in the coming GE14.

"What matters is that we voice the wishes of the people and provide for the needs of the people... not just merely talking but walk the talk," he said and apologised to everyone throughout his tenure as an elected representative.
