MyPPP To Submit Its List Of GE14 Candidates Next Month
CAMERON HIGHLANDS, Dec 17 (Bernama) -- MyPPP will submit the party's list of candidates for the 14th general election (GE14) to Barisan Nasional chairman Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, next month.
Its president Tan Sri M. Kayveas said the party had identified the candidates eligible for consideration to be fielded for the seats to be contested.
"We are also asking for additional seats from the BN chairman. It's up to him (Najib) to give which additional seats to be contested by MyPPP.
"We've always gone to the ground in constituencies we want to contest and we've identified the party members and voters who have assured us full support if our candidates are chosen to contest the seats," he told Bernama after the opening of his official residence in Carnation Park, here, today.
In the last general election in 2013, MyPPP contested the Kepong parliamentary seat and the state seats of Kota Laksamana (Melaka), Pasir Bedamar (Perak), Kota Alam Shah (Selangor) and Guchil (Kelantan).
In that general election, Kayveas contested the Pasir Bedamar seat but lost to Terence Naidu V. Raja, the DAP candidate.
