KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 27 (Bernama) -- The investigation into Felda Jalan Semarak land transfer will not affect the preparations for the 14th general election (GE14), according to Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Dr Shahidan Kassim.

He said he was also confident that all the issues and problems faced by Felda had been and would be resolved by the government in a good manner without undermining the credibility of Barisan Nasional (BN).

"I don't think there is a problem here. I will support whatever decision made by the government (on the issue).

"We have to remember that whatever the problem is, the government will be able to solve it well. We will face the GE14 and we are ready. We have also handled all the problems well...we are banking on love in our approach, not abusing with words and hurling lies," he said.

Shahidan said this to reporters at the Federal Territories Christmas Open House at the Kuala Lumpur City Hall Square here today.

Also present was Deputy Federal Territories Minister Datuk Dr Loga Bala Mohan and MyPPP president, Tan Sri M Kayveas.

On Dec 21, the media had reported that Felda was at risk of losing RM200 million from its prime land in Jalan Semarak through dubious transfer of ownership.

The land title transfer was believed to have occurred after Felda Investment Corporation (FIC) appointed a local company as the main developer on June 3, 2014, and awarded it full power of attorney to develop the land.

Following this, the Royal Malaysia Police set up a special task force to investigate the matter and did not rule out calling former Felda chairman, Tan Sri Mohd Isa Abdul Samad to assist in the investigation.
