Sabah UMNO Is All Geared Up For GE14
SEMPORNA, Jan 6 (Bernama) -- The Sabah UMNO's preparations for the 14th General Election (GE14) were described as being at the turbo gear level, said Sabah UMNO deputy information chief Datuk Ramlee Marahaban.
Ramlee, who is Sabah Assistant Finance Minister, said to add to the momentum, Sabah UMNO would organise various programmes involving the grassroots and the people to strengthen the party machinery.
"For example, in our programme today where it involves the grassroots and the village chiefs together with UMNO branch chiefs, we supply them with the Barisan Nasional (BN) and UMNO flags to lift their spirits to face the GE14.
"They are the BN front liners who will extend the spirit of voting among the population by raising the flags in Semporna," he said.
Ramlee who is also Bugaya state assemblyman said this to reporters after a special meeting of village chiefs, UMNO branch chiefs and Village Security and Development Committee (JKKK) here today.
Ramlee also refuted claims by the opposition who labeled the inclusion of the former members of opposition party, Parti Warisan Sabah (Warisan) in UMNO was just a drama and called it as baseless allegation.
"Former opposition members who are now with UMNO are seen to be working very hard for the people," he said.
