Four UMNO Divisions In Sabah Launch Assault To Counter Slander By Opposition Parties
TAWAU, Jan 7 (Bernama) --- Four UMNO divisions in Sabah, namely Tawau, Kalabakan, Silam and Semporna have launch an assault to counter all the slander and allegations by the opposition against the Barisan Nasional (BN) government and its leaders.
Kalabakan UMNO leader Datuk Seri Abdul Ghapur Salleh said all party members in the four divisions would go to the ground, including the villages and island, to clarify to the people on the accusations by the opposition, including Parti Warisan Sabah (Warisan) president Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal.
He told this to reporters after chairing a meeting on preparations for the 14th general election for Zone 6 UMNO Committee, covering the parliamentary constituencies of Silam, Semporna, Tawau and Kalabakan here.
The meeting was also attended by Silam UMNO division leader Datuk Mohd Yusof Apdal, Acting Semporna UMNO leader Datuk Seri Nasir Tun Sakaran, Tawau UMNO deputy leader Datuk Seri Panglima Syed Abas Syed Ali and Sabah UMNO deputy Information chief Datuk Ramlee Marahaban.
