Kedah UMNO Needs To Be More Aggressive In Approaching Voters - Ahmad Bashah
ALOR SETAR, Jan 20 (Bernama) -- Kedah UMNO machinery needs to be more aggressive in approaching voters in an effort to further strengthen the party to face the opposition in the coming 14th General Election (GE14).
State UMNO Liaison chairman Datuk Seri Ahmad Bashah Md Hanipah said the party machinery should not be complacent and had to work hard to win the hearts of the people if the party wished to continue administrating the state.
"Even though our party is matured and has experience, the situation in every general election is different and that's why we need a robust machinery.
"I am confident that what we are doing and will undertake will be evaluated by the people and hopefully the people will continue to support us," Ahmad Bashah, who is also Kedah Menteri Besar, said at the handing over of bicycles to 500 students from eight schools in the state seats of Bakar Bata and Kota Darulaman here today.
He also wanted UMNO members at all levels to resolve any internal problems amicably as unity was a prerequisite for the party's success, especially in the coming GE14.
