NS BN To Meet Monthly From This Year - Mohamad

SEREMBAN, Jan 21 (Bernama) -- Negeri Sembilan Barisan Nasional (BN) chairman Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan said the state BN will meet monthly this year compared to every three months prior to this.

Mohamad, who is also Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar, said the monthly meeting was aimed at measuring the state of preparedness of the BN component parties in facing the 14th General Election (GE14).

"We have solved many problems at the first meeting recently. For example, MCA said they wanted to take over a Polling District Centre (PDC) which was being managed by UMNO because it had more Chinese voters.

"I said UMNO would feel hurt if MCA take over the PDC. So, the solution is for both parties to manage the PDC together. The same problem occured between MIC and PPP and I offered them the same solution. It is already close to GE14 and I hope no squabbles take place between BN component parties in the state."

He said all the component parties had agreed that the approach be applied throughout the state.
