Terengganu Media Practitioners Attend Briefing On Election
KUALA TERENGGANU, Jan 22 (Bernama) -- More than 70 newsmen from various print and electronic media organisations in Terengganu attended a briefing on the general election today given by the Election Commission (EC).
The objective of the four-hour briefing was to inform media practitioners on their roles and duties during the coming general election.
Information Department media personnel Shuhaimi Ahmad said the briefing was timely as the 14th General Election (GE14) was approaching.
"The briefing provided information on the election process from the dissolution of parliament to the gazetting of the election results, and shows that the EC is transparent in carrying out its duties," he said.
Harakah journalist Khairul Azlam Mohamad said from the briefing, it was clear that the EC was transparent as it had strict procedures for the election process.
Also present was director of Terengganu Election Office, Nik Andy Suwardy Amry.
