Government Does Not Neglect Indians - Tengku Adnan
KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 28 (Bernama) -- The welfare of the Indian community in the Federal Territory has never been neglected by the government as it is committed to ensure the wellbeing of the urban population.
Federal Territories Minister Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor said the Indians should grab the affordable homes in Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and Labuan and the special housing loans for them.
"The government has allocated RM50 million special fund to the Federal Territory Foundation for Indian buyers who want to make a loan for the purchase of Rumawip units (Federal Territory Affordable Homes).
"The Indians have a quota for programmes such as Rumawip and PPR," he said at the launch of Ponggal Carnival 2018 at Wangsa Perdana Foundation here, today.
Tengku Adnan said the Indians should remain united as no party other than the Barisan Nasional (BN) is concerned about the wellbeing and future of Malaysians.
"The opposition is only good at lip service, unlike BN which talks and delivers. I believe the unity in today's programme will remain until the general election. Insya Allah, Wangu Maju will belong to BN."
