Najib's Outstanding Performance Will Be Appreciated By People - Mustapa
KOTA BHARU, Jan 28 (Bernama) -- Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak's outstanding performance in developing the nation will be appreciated by the people, said International Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed.
Mustapa said Najib's leadership was evident in driving the country's economy rapidly as well as being a caring leader to the people.
"Hence, to choose a party that can lead the country is a serious matter, not a short term action," he said in his speech at a gathering with civil servants from federal and state governments at the Wisma Persekutuan here today.
More than 10,000 civil servants turned up at the event that was also attended by Najib, Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Senator Datuk Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki and Deputy Rural and Regional Development Minister Datuk Ahmad Jazlan Yaakub.
Mustapa, who is also Kelantan Federal Action Council (MTPNK) chairman, said the country's economy must remain strong so that civil servants would benefit from it.
"We are not a bankrupt state (as alleged by some). The ringgit rose to RM3.80 (now) and we are grateful as never in the country's history has there been a leader who really cares about us (Kelantanese).
"Hence, civil servants have to choose carefully to make sure this great country will remain strong under Najib's leadership," he said.
