Cameron Highlands MIC Machinery Goes For Micro Management
CAMERON HIGHLANDS, Jan 29 (Bernama) -- Cameron Highlands MIC machinery is now picking up pace with focus on micro management on a more open approach of voters with readiness to accept criticisms while finding the core source of their grouses.
Cameron Highlands MIC parliamentary coordinator Datuk Sivarraajh Chandran said to defend the parliamentary seat held by MIC all this while, the party was confident with its strategic preparations for the 14th general election with the Cameron Highlands MIC Wanita and Youth network having covered 60 per cent of the electorate.
"From past general election experience, micro management focus on District Voting Centres (PDM) is more effective than the macro approach.
"We are intensifying our efforts especially at the PDM level as we still have another 40 per cent to go to defend the parliamentary seat," he told reporters after a Cameron Highlands Barisan Nasional (BN) meeting chaired by UMNO division head Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail at Tanah Rata here this evening.
Sivarraajh who is also MIC Youth chief will ensure Cameron Highlands MIC division go all out to garner more support as BN won the seat with a slim majority in the 13th general election (GE13).
"It is our key performance indicator (KPI) to win this parliamentary seat with a bigger majority as a gift for our Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak," he said.
In GE13, MIC won the Cameron Highlands parliamentary seat via Datuk Seri G. Palanivel with a 462-vote majority in a four-cornered fight.
