2,400 Policemen To Be Deployed For GE14 Duties In Terengganu 
HULU TERENGGANU, Feb 3 (Bernama) -- Some 2,400 policemen will be deployed with safeguarding the entire process of the 14th General Election (GE14) throughout Terengganu.
Terengganu Police chief, Datuk Aidi Ismail said all the personnel would be stationed at the polling centres and security posts statewide.
"The scenario this time is more inclined to campaigns in which one party organises a campaign and another party comes and creates disturbance with the intention to cause chaos and the police need to take action to ease the situation," he told reporters after the GE14 simulation training session at the Water Front Square, Kuala Berang here today.
Meanwhile Deputy Communications and Multimedia Minister Datuk Jailani Johari, who also witnessed the event, said any political party that wished to conduct the campaign should abide by the regulations set and to avoid issuing statements that could cause public disorder.
"During the polling day, all parties should refer to the authorities to prevent irresponsible parties from causing chaos and compromise security throughout the election process," he said.
