Penang UMNO To Focus On False Promises By DAP For GE14
NIBONG TEBAL, 3 Feb (Bernama) -- The Penang UMNO will focus on the false hope given by DAP since the past 10 years to win the people's votes for the coming general election.
Penang UMNO Liaison chairman Datuk Seri Zainal Abidin Osman said the party would emphasise how the people in the state had been misled by DAP with its false promises.
He said it was time for the Penang people to rise and restore their support for Barisan Nasional for their well-being and that of the state.
"We will let the Penang people know that it is better for them to return to power the previous government which had ruled Penang for 34 years, brought development, prosperity to the state. It is better to restore BN's rule because we are more experienced than DAP and Pakatan Harapan," he told reporters after the State UMNO Liaison meeting here today.
Zainal Abidin said the the people should realise by now that parties like Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM) and Amanah were not vocal enough in safeguarding the people's welfare, especially the bumiputera.
"We are disappointed that despite the many issues in the state, the parties under Pakatan, like PPBM and Amanah are keeping mum, as if afraid to voice out," he said.
Meanwhile, on today's meeting, he said it focused on the final preparations for the 14th general election.
"So far, we are satisfied with the preparations and work at all levels," he added.
