Government's Concern For Single Mothers Not Rhetorical - Shamsul Anua'r
KULIM, Feb 4 ( Bernama) -- The government's stance in protecting women, especially single mothers, is not rhetorical and seasonal, said UMNO Welfare Bureau chairman Datuk Dr Shamsul Anuar Nasarah.
He said the government had been supporting single mothers and women in general for a long time.
"Since independence, we have always recognised the role of women in politics, economics and even gave them important positions in the administration of the country.
"Moreover the welfare, education and economic development of this group had been taken care of through various programmes organised by the government," he said when met at UMNO Helps the People 2.0 programme, here tonight.
