DPM Attends Johor BN Component Parties Dinner
JOHOR BAHRU, Feb 10 (Bernama) -- Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and wife, Datin Seri Hamidah Khamis, attended the Johor Barisan Nasional (BN) component parties dinner held at a hotel here today.
They were welcomed upon arrival by Johor BN chairman Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin and component parties top leaders namely MCA deputy president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong, Johor MIC Liaison Committee chairman Datuk M. Asojan and Johor MyPPP chairman Datuk Dr Siva Kumar.
Also present were state UMNO Liaison Committee secretary Md Jais Sarday, Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Razali Ibrahim, Deputy Home Minister Datuk Nur Jazlan Mohamed and state Public Works and Rural and Regional Development Committee chairman Datuk Hasni Mohammad.
It is understood that during the closed-door event, Ahmad Zahid and Mohamed Khaled delivered their messages to about 150 members of the party's supreme committee, divisions' chiefs and vice-chiefs who also attended the dinner.
The two-hour dinner event was part of Ahmad Zahid's two-day visit to the state, starting today.
