Claims Of Police Voter Transfer Show PKR Is Jittery - UMNO

GEORGE TOWN, Feb 12 (Bernama) - A Penang PKR leader\'s claim that Permatang Pauh UMNO division has illegally transferred police voters clearly shows the leader is running scared, says Penang UMNO Liaison Committee chairman Datuk Seri Zainal Abidin Osman.

He said the allegations by the leader and the party showed they were beginning to get nervous when they saw UMNO working hard to help the people day and night, compared to the elected representative of constituency who only appeared once every two months.

"The issue about the transfer of the police voters does not arise. The speech recording of the Permatang Pauh UMNO division leader showed him speaking to motivate and enliven his team on the ground."

"The programme is an internal activity to motivate and enliven the party machinery. It's a strategy aimed at his team members ..., " he told reporters here today.

He was commenting on a video clip about the transfer of the police voters which went viral on social media and was highlighted by a PKR leader in the state.

Yesterday, Permatang Pauh UMNO division chief Datuk Mohd Zaidi Mohd Said was reported to have denied allegations that more than 800 police voters were transferred to the parliamentary constituency ahead of the 14th general election.
