Indian Community Should Continue Supporting Barisan Nasional - Subramaniam
KULIM, Feb 15 (Bernama) -- The Indian community needs to continue giving their support to the Barisan Nasional (BN) as the coalition has been proven effective in helping the community, especially in terms of economic and social development.
MIC president Datuk Seri Dr S.Subramaniam said aid and assistance rendered by the government to the Indian community also proved that the government had been upholding its power sharing principle to the best of its ability.
"Aid and assistance for the Indian community here never ceased, including to the Indian schools and temples. That shows that the Barisan Nasional Government's concern for the Indian community.
So, the Indian people should be wise enough to make changes and decide what's best for their future," he said at the Ponggal Solidarity Fest here tonight, which was also attended by Kedah Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Bashah Md Hanipah.
For the record, the Padang Serai Parliamentary seat and Lunas state seat are currently held by Parti Keadilan Rakyat ( PKR ).
