Kelantan Folks Clearly Want BN To Rule The State - Mustapa
KOTA BHARU, Feb 20 (Bernama) -- The people of Kelantan clearly wants Barisan Nasional (BN) to rule the state and bring about improvements, said Chairman of Kelantan UMNO Liaison body Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed.
He said the people now realised that the PAS-led Kelantan government had not been able to improve the state as it had hoped.
"They (the people) want to see BN take over the state and improve their lot. The 28 years of PAS rule has not brought about many changes, so we (BN) have to work hard for the sake of the people of Kelantan, including through the coming 14th general election,"he told reporters after a gathering with representatives of 36 Kelantan non-governmental organisations here today.
Mustapa, who is also Minister of International Trade and Industry, said there were many PAS supporters who said they would join BN to bring about changes to the state.
