Lembah Pantai BN Confident Of Recapturing Seat

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 25 (Bernama) -- Lembah Pantai Barisan Nasional (BN) is confident it can wrest back the seat from the Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) in the 14th General Election (GE14), which will be held at any time soon.

Lembah Pantai UMNO Division chief Datuk Seri Raja Nong Chik Raja Zainal Abidin said the confidence was based on the positive work plan and support received by the BN to recapture the seat that was won by Nurrul Izzah Anwar of PKR in GE13.

"In the past five years, I have continued to fight for the BN and since then I have gone to the ground to help and resolve the problems of the people," he told reporters after the Mega Rondaan SRS Bersama Boss programme here today.

He said the work plan, development agenda and transformation being implemented by the government had given a high level of confidence to the BN machinery to recapture the parliamentary constituency, with more than half of registered voters comprising Malay voters.

"The support from the people is much better than in the GE13. Many former PKR supporters in the area have swung to the BN after they were desperate and disappointed with their elected representative, who failed to help them.

"This situation has given the BN a better chance than the last GE," he added.
