Sabah BN Component Parties Need To Instill Winning Mentality For Ge14

KOTA KINABALU, Feb 26 (Bernama) -- Sabah Barisan Nasional (BN) component parties need to instil a winning mentality for the oncoming 14th General Election (GE14) to ensure a substantial victory in the election, said its chairman, Tan Sri Musa Aman.

He urged for the unity and cooperation established between party members, especially between Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS), United Pasok Momogun Kadazandusun Murut Organisation (UPKO) and Parti Bersatu Rakyat Sabah (PBRS) to be strengthened as a force when facing the opposition during the general election.

He noted that BN could repeat its victory in the state following its outstanding track record in bringing development to the state as well as introducing numerous policies which benefitted the people.

"However, we should not take for granted the situation of elections that can swiftly change and must constantly adapt when faced with challenges.

Do not fear the opposition parties as they are weak and face numerous problems," he said in his speech when launching the 'Pemukiman ', 'Tatap BN' Pemimpin Tertinggi PBS, UPKO and PBRS' programme on the GE14 machinery here today.

Also present were Sabah Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan who is also PBS President, Energy, Green Technology and Water Minister, Datuk Seri Dr Maxiumus Ongkili, who is also acting PBS President, Science, Technology and Innovation Minister, Datuk Wilfred Madius Tangau, who is also acting UPKO President, and Minister in the Prime Minister's Department, Tan Sri Joseph Kurup who is also PBRS President.

Commenting on the programme, Musa said the initiative showed the mutual understanding forged between PBS, UPKO and PBRS as well as the maturity of the parties in championing the welfare of the people of the state, particularly the Kadazan Dusun Murut community.
