GE14: BN Can Win Back Indera Kayangan State Seat
PADANG BESAR, Feb 27 (Bernama) -- Perlis MCA chairman Datuk Chua Tee Yong believes the Barisan Nasional (BN) has the advantage of recapturing the Indera Kayangan State Assembly seat in the 14th general election.
He said recent developments showed that MCA was well received by voters in the Indera Kayangan state seat following the many efforts made by the central and state governments to assist the Chinese community in particular.
"We have nominated three names one of whom will be picked as a candidate to contest in the seat and three for the Titi Tinggi state seat, the seat allocated to MCA.
"I hope the party leadership will immediately announce the candidate so that party movements can perform their tasks sooner,\" Chua told reporters after meeting members of the Village Security and Development Committee in Ttiti Tinggi state seat here today.
BN represented by MCA at Indera Kayangan lost to a PKR candidate in the 13th general election and retained the Titi Tinggi state seat.
