New Faces Expected In PBS Line-Up For GE-14 - Ongkili

PENAMPANG, March 1 (Bernama) -- Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) is poised to make some changes in its line-up, with some new faces to be fielded in the coming 14th General Election (GE14).

Its deputy president Datuk Seri Dr Maximus Ongkili said the first list of proposed candidates had been submitted to the national and state Barisan Nasional chairmen.

"The PBS proposed candidates list has been handed to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak and Sabah Chief Minister Tan Sri Musa Aman.

"However, we can expect several new faces in the final list," said Ongkili after the party's supreme council meeting chaired by president Tan Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan.

The Energy, Green Technology and Water Minister, who has been tasked to oversee party matters, said that the PBS election machinery for its existing 13 state and five parliamentary seats are all set and ready to roll out.

"Trial runs are in progress to test the readiness of the machinery.

"I believe with hard work, equipped with effective strategies and full cooperation from all BN component parties, we will win all seats allocated to PBS," said Ongkili.
