Johor BN To Present GE14 Manifesto Next Month
JOHOR BAHRU, March 3 (Bernama) -- Johor Barisan Nasional (BN) will present its manifesto for the 14th General Election in early April, said Johor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin.
Mohamed Khaled, who is also Johor BN chairman, said the first thing to be emphasised in the manifesto would be a prosperous economy.
"We (Johor BN) will emphasise on a prosperous economy, we have a clear economic agenda but, at the same time, aim to bring prosperity to the people.
"In a prosperous economy, the main focus is also to deal with the high cost of living, " he told reporters after the presentation of the My-Kasih Yayasan Pasir Gudang (YPG) Smart Food Programme 2018 here today.
He said there are five main issues that are the focus of the Johor BN manifesto by targeting three groups, namely women, Johor youth and disabled people.
Meanwhile, he also denied allegations by Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) deputy president Salahuddin Ayub, who claimed that he and his senior officers were involved in corruption.
Yesterday, Salahuddin was reported to have made personal attacks against the Johor menteri besar and his senior officers for allegedly being involved in corruption and wanted him to declare his assets and to be investigated by the Malaysian Anti Corruption Commission.
Earlier at the Mykasih-YPG Food Programme event, Mohamed Khaled also handed over donations to 245 needy recipients worth a total of RM235,200.
