Pakatan Harapan's Two-Term Limit Only Applies After GE14

KUALA LUMPUR, March 7 (Bernama) -- Pakatan Harapan will only apply its two-term limit on the posts of Chief Minister and Menteri Besar, which will be part of its 201-page manifesto after the upcoming general election, said its chief secretary Datuk Saifuddin Abdullah.

"It (pledge) will only apply after the 14th general election, it is not retrospective," he told a press conference at the Parliament building, today.

Saifuddin was asked to clarify if the limit would apply to Penang chief minister Lim Guan Eng who has led the state for two terms.

On the manifesto, Saifuddin said it comprises five pillars with 60 pledges under it that would be fulfilled in the period of five years.

"Ten out of the 60 pledges in the manifesto would be fulfilled in the first 100 days should Pakatan Harapan come to power," he said.

The manifesto will be launched in Shah Alam tomorrow.
