Pakatan Harapan anticipates tough electoral fight in Terengganu

KUALA TERENGGANU, March 22 (Bernama) -- Terengganu Pakatan Harapan anticipates a tough fight in the next general election in the state with PAS no longer an ally, said its chairman, Datuk Raja Kamarul Bahrin Shah Raja Ahmad.
"It will not be an easy passage for a PH victory in Terengganu. However, I expect a slim victory for whichever party emerges as the winner," the Terengganu Parti Amanah Negara leader said at a press conference here today.
Kelantan PAS and Terengganu PAS have stated that they would not forge cooperation with Amanah, a splinter party of PAS, in the next general election.
Raja Kamarul Bahrin Shah said Terengganu Pakatan Harapan had completed the allocation of the state seats among the component parties and that the names of the candidates would be announced in about two weeks.
He said he would defend the Kuala Terengganu parliamentary seat.
He also said that some of the candidates would be from among former political leaders in the state but did not elaborate.
