Sabah BN Youth reminded to unite as a team

SIPITANG, March 24 (Bernama) -- Sabah Barisan Nasional chairman Tan Sri Musa Aman today reminded state BN Youth to remain united and work as a team for the 14th general election (GE14).
"GE14 is the 'father of all elections', its more challenging. Therefore, BN youth must work harder than usual to ensure victory and defend the present leadership because we have a kind hearted leader with a great record of success," he said today.
The Chief Minister said this while launching the 'Briged Gempur Pemuda BN Sabah' and Sipitang BN machinery here. Youth and Sports Minister Khairy Jamaluddin who is also BN Youth chairman; Sipitang Umno division chief Datuk Sapawi Ahmad; and Sabah BN Youth chairman Yamani Hafez Musa were also present.
Musa also acknowledged that Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak, who is also party chairman and Khairy as Youth chief had not sidelined the youth by preparing a special GE14 manifesto for the latter.
Khairy urged the Sabah BN Youth brigade to work with UMNO's other wings, Puteri and Wanita in wooing voters in Sabah to choose BN in GE14.
"We do not want to go back to the times when Sabah was marginalised. This is because the opposition has appointed a leader who was once prime minister but who never brought any development to Sabah," he said.
Meanwhile in Keningau, Musa also reminded the people not to fall for the tactics of opposition parties.
"They are talking nonsense..don't be influenced," he said at a meet-the-people roadshow organised by Yayasan Sabah here today.
He said the government had not been resting on its laurels: "Our leaders are constantly working, going to the ground to find out what the people need. I and (Deputy Chief Minister) Tan Sri Pairin, ministers and state and federal government officers are always thinking of ways to bring development to the people."
He said he had immediately drawn up the roadmap for Sabah's progress upon assuming the chief ministership.
