GE14: Sarawak free of infiltrators, assure police
KUCHING, March 25 (Bernama) -- Sarawak is free of infiltrators out to disrupt the 14th general election (GE14), according to Royal Malaysia Police.
"As of now, we don't have any, that could potentially threaten security or create a situation of unrest," Sarawak deputy police commissioner Datuk Mohd Dzuraidi Ibrahim told a media conference after a parade in conjunction with the 211th Police Day celebration here today.
Nevertheless, he said police would continue to gather intelligence information on marked individuals and organisations.
Meanwhile, he also read out Inspector General of Police Tan Sri Mohamad Fuzi Harun's speech text and presented appreciation certificates and integrity awards to 40 police personnel and staff.
Mohd Dzuraidi also said Sarawak police were 100 per cent prepared for their tasks in GE14.
