GE14: Terengganu police detect 'hot spots', suspected troublemakers

KUALA TERENGGANU, March 25 (Bernama) -- The police have identified several 'hot spots' and individuals who have the potential of bringing chaos in the run-up to the coming 14th General Election (GE14), according to Terengganu police deputy chief, Datuk Idris Abdullah.
He said the police were prepared to ensure the GE14 process would go smoothly from the dissolution of Parliament, campaigning period to the polling day.
"So far, the police have only received four reports on vandalism involving political party flags by mischievous boys in Kuala Terengganu, Marang, Kuala Nerus and Dungun," he told reporters after the 211th Police Day celebrations here today.
Meanwhile in SEREMBAN (Negeri Sembilan), police deputy chief Datuk Muhamad Zaki Harun said the police were ready to face the GE14.
"A total of 3,400 police personnel would be assigned during the GE14," he told reporters after the 211th Police Day celebrations at the Police Training School Marching Square here today
