GE14 dry run in Perak smooth - Zambry
IPOH, March 28 (Bernama) -- The dry run in Perak from March 10 to 25 in preparation for the coming 14th General Election (GE14) went smoothly, said Perak Barisan Nasional (BN) chairman Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir.
Zambry, who is the Perak Menteri Besar, said the dry-run sessions, involving the 24 parliamentary and 59 state constituencies, were conducted at the divisional level.
"We have made all the preparations and I can say that the BN is ready for the coming election.
"The dry run is a kind of a testing process in which you have to identify the loopholes and find the best way to rectify areas of weakness and so on," he told a press conference after chairing the weekly state executive council meeting here.
Zambry said the Perak BN had its own strategy to increase the number of its seats in GE14.
"Like it or not, we have to work hard to ensure that BN will secure victory and, later, form the government," said Zambry, who declined to comment on how many additional seats it would win this time around.
The Menteri Besar also said that the Perak BN had lined up the best approach for GE14 and it found that the issues raised by the opposition were just part of their 'war' strategy and propaganda.
"It is normal. This is (their) war strategy and propaganda. The most important thing is that we strategise our best approach, let them (opposition) say whatever they want," he added.
