National Transformation Agenda is in BN's manifesto for GE14 - Annuar

KUALA LUMPUR, April 2 (Bernama) -- The Barisan Nasional's (BN) manisfesto for the 14th General Election (GE14) will be focusing on national transformation agenda for a better future in the next five years, according to UMNO Information chief Tan Sri Annuar Musa.

He said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak was deemed to have given a special attention to the agenda in the manifesto, which would be tabled and announced on Saturday.

"The manifesto is very different compared to the previous one. There is a part where the prime minister emphasises on the real transformation of the country. It is not just a manifesto."

"(It is) a very way forward and proper manifesto. (In fact, a) very well-written, well-discussed. The manifesto is geared more towards achieving the national transformation agenda such as having more jobs, stable economy and more reserves. We plan to create more prosperity," he told Bernama after a roundtable session at his office today.

Commenting further, Annuar said BN would not come out with populist promises such as abolishing study loans and having cheaper car prices, which would pose financial burden to the government if such promises were to be implemented later.

"The government cannot fish for votes because after the GE14 is over, the government needs to sit for a roundtable discussion and face the reality of what has been planned," he added.
